Today we’re comparing the i5 750 (1st Gen) with the i5 10400 (10th Gen) to see how much has changed over the last decade. One costs £6, and the other about £150, but is this price difference reflected in the results?
(Hint: YES)
Thanks for watching 🙂

On its day the i5-750 was awesome a true work horse 🐎
Damn. The older i5 gets decent fps. I didn't except the difference to be that small, wow!
I still Work and Game on the Xeon X3430 (I5 750) and it holds up fine 👍🏽
i5-750 + AMD 5770 since 2009
So sad.
I’m still using the i5 750

i like this guy's type of videos , he is chill and just experimenting and having fun , its always fun to try this type of stuff on multiple pcs or multiple cpus and gpus , carry on man
nehalem was the chip that left amd in the dust
I use a i5 650 in my streaming machine (projector computer) with a 750ti and it handles that great. Then again my gaming pc is a phenom x6 1055t with a 1050ti lol
I remember the i5 750 quite well. But gaming king? Nah… I remember that being Meh. Serviceable, but nothing special.
Build a PC with a i5 3570 or any lga 155 pls !
Randomgamer should try try to o/c the i5 750 to see if it helps gameplay and further keep the the cpu relevant for those on a tight budget for another few years.
An overclock to 3,6 – 4ghz would be a very big improvement
10 years 2x performance. Thank God for ryzen
I still own it and I have it paired with a GTX 750Ti. Do you think I should replace the 750Ti with an RX570 4GB?
I gave my girlfriends brother a pc with a i5 750 and r9 290 and that thing is still kicking
I'm thinking of a build with rtx 3070 and i3 9100f. I want to play ray traced minecraft on 4k 60fps.
Is that a good idea? Don't intend on using it for anything else really…
Finally the mighty i5 750 against its 10th gen brother
Please reply ….. I have i5 3470 and 16gb DDR3 1600mhz RAM does GTX 1660 6gb bottleneck in it . At 1600X900 and max setting or ultra graphics please reply me bro
This is the equivalent of comparing a Pentium 1 to a Pentium D (~12 years) – no way that a Pentium 1 would even run games requiring a Pentium 2 or Pentium 3 not to mention Pentium 4 and Pentium D. This is actually bad that a brand new Intel chip is in the same field as a 10+ year old chip, however if you compare a slightly older Core 2 Quad (some are a similar age to the i5 750) things are a little better.
1:26 "Without furver a doodoe" I'm sorry I just for some reason died a lil bit when I had the video on in the background 😂
I actually have a i5 655k laying around
Can you compare all te generstions of budget i5, to see how all advanced. The 750, 2400,……, 10400
Guess that 5US$ i5-750/X3430 makes not much sense, because you have the X3440 for only 8US$…
What game is this ?
But can you compare them using GTX 1060 6g or GTX 1660ti. They are mid-range gpus, right?
Should i buy 10400f or 3600 in games which one is better u recommend i play games i dont do productivity
I used aa i5 760 in my first ever build, it was great! Motherboard failure quite early on in my system's life pushed me to upgrade to a 2500K though and that 2500K is still running very well today! The board I used with the 760 was the ASUS P7P55D-E, unique in that it had USB 3.0 and SATA 6GBps support which was rare for an 1156 motherboard! It was all third-party though, Marvell and J-Micron, I believe.
Not so good, considering 11 years is a long long time. That's the best they can do , in all that time! LOL
In my opinion you should test always in lowest gpu demanding settings. So we can see the true difference or true potential, when both hit 100% CPU utilisation, of the newer cpu. But i could be wrong and forget something. Maybe you can explain your thoughts on it.
But as always a really interesting video. Keep up the good work
