In this video, I demonstrate 6 possible ways to fix the problem of “no battery is detected” in windows, when in fact you have a functional healthy battery attached to your laptop. This is marked by a red X and a power cable sign on your battery icon. Here is a list of the possible ways to fix this problem as described in the video:

1. Check that your battery is properly hooked up to the connector in the battery compartment.
2. Perform a hard reset on your laptop.
3. Reinstall all battery-related drivers from Microsoft
4. Reset your BIOS settings to defaults.
5. Update your BIOS.
6. If you are using a laptop that came preinstalled with Windows 8 or Windows 10, then to get your battery icon back to normal, you will need to upgrade your laptop to the preinstalled version of Windows it was shipped with or a later version.
