The best one I have heard of, and the one I have now replaced the Pentium D is the Intel Core 2 Quad 6700 2.66. not so much and increase in real speed but now the CPU isn't maxed out at 80 to 100% all the time. My CPU generally runs about 45 to 75 percent. And that does help it's very much worth it. You have to be at Bios 2.6.4 at least. My system WON'T let me update to the latest version HEIDEN 2.6.6. I don't know why it won't let me, but it did let me update it to 2.6.4, and that's how I know it will allow you to run a Q6700, because mine would not boot until my BIOS was updated. So for CPU upgrade, get a Q6700, or Q6600, it's worth the twenty or thirty bucks you'll spend. Mine is a Q6700, 8gb RAM and runs great with 2 monitors using a $10 video card with both Windows 10, or Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon. As long as you don't play games or do video editing or serious CPU crunching applications, it's a good little home PC. Fun to play with, and if you break it, no biggie.
What cpu did you upgrade to and what specific type of cpu would you have to put in, I have just bought a dell optiplex usff 745 like this and are looking for upgrades
I was wondering if you can put a Intel 2.4 GHz quad core Q6600 In This computer?
What's the socket
What is the best processor for this model? factory came with a pentium D 945.
Can i put a10 7800 on it?
Great video folk !
