This video was made to showcase some Dell Latitude E6420 Laptops that I’m refurbishing for resell. I’m upgrading the hard drives in them to Samsung EVO 500 GB SSD which is a huge performance boost. I’m installing Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. The computers come with 4 GB of DDR3 System RAM and Intel i7-2760QM (8 Core/threads) Processors. These laptops also feature a Dell E Series docking station port on the bottom of the laptop.

Hi! I have i5 2430m dell n5110 motherboard HM67 express.. can I upgrade it for i7 2760QM??
I have Dell E6520 with i7-2640m, 8 GB Ram and 500 GB HDD. I just wanted to know if i upgrade cpu to 2670qm is it really worth? And can i upgrade to 16 GB ram this laptop? even dell itself says maximum ram is 8 GB but some people say it can be 16.
Actually these e6420's with i7 2760qm's run hot and should have had 2 fans.When you pad the GPU and paste the processor you share heat, which combined makes for a hot running machine.I am using an i7 but prefer the i5 with 16gb ram.I am using 8gb ram with this i7 2760qm.If you use liquid metal you damage the heat sink and if you cant find a great paste or pads you will quickly burn this i7 out or at least wear it to perform slower[too much darn heat].
Who knows, wich laptos has, in native mode this processor E6420qm.

Will a factory i7 processor from a e6430 fit in my i5 e6430? Sry if its a stupid question but im new to computer crap and want to upgrade my laptop. Also if you know whats the best processor i can run in my latitude e6430 i5 without any thing crazy hard to do. I can learn anything if i put my mind to it but right now i dont know what will fit what and wont blow up.

I'm getting one of these next week from Walmarts website (refurbished) I'd rather spend 200 bucks on one of these than the cheap notebooks.. it's got 8gb of RAM and the i7-2640M CPU and a 500gb hard drive, but chances are I'll be upgrading that to an ssd for better performance and reliability.

I* have this same laptop and I love it
I have a Dell E6520 (15.6", 1600×900) that came with a core i5-2540M dual core (2C/4T) CPU. I swapped it out with the i7-2760QM quad core CPU and it runs great. Just to be thorough, I also swapped the 90W Dell OEM AC charger with a 130W one. It all runs great (Win 10 Pro, Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD, 16GB Crucial Ballistix PC3-12800 / DDR3-1600 CL9 RAM)
Thats a 4 core 8 thread processor, my E6420 has an i5, will the i7 2760QM work in mine with just a swap?
