AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
If I ever hear Netflix trying to get their hands on One Punch Man or One Piece, I am gonna decapitate some heads without Ryuk asking me to.
3:50 this👌
I still refuse to watch this movie
Hahahahahah Kira
JOJO
Bruh the potato chip scene was a must see in my friend group in middle school
Besides the overall lack of quality, it bugs me that they named him Light… Couldn't pick Lucas or something?
UGH they definitely like to portray 'smart kids' as nerds who cater to other people to be likeable, blegh
It was never about the book
bro when ryuk looked at “light” I jumped because it kinda looked scary ngl
i have an opinion on this movie i would like to give
i watched this earlier this year (lmao late ik) after i finished watching the Death note anime.
honestly, if i were to base my opinion on the similarity on the plot type shit, the Death note movie is absolute garbage.
however, when i detached the movie from my previous knowledge of Death note, the movie wasn't too bad. the acting (imo) was good, the characters were pretty decent, and it was quite funny. there were a few bumps (ex. mia's death and the burning of the page) but other than that a pretty decent film.
i think what would've made it a better movie would be to rather than say it was "based off" of Death note, to say it was "inspired" by the idea of Death note.
i hope that makes sense to anyone reading this lmao
I can't say I disagree with much but I love this movie. 🙃
Of course it sucked, that would imply the source material was good to begin with, let alone would they be able to make something respectable out of it. We are talking about a story that the main character was made to look smart by surrounding him by idiots, the exact same approach used in Code Geass. Sad part is when people think the story is actually smart because it's designed in a way to make the viewer feel smart by watching a smart character that isn't actually smart but is given plot connivance like a new ability from the Death Note that well, you know, gets him out of a bind. ie it's a Dumb Show made in a way to perceive intelligence which I guess is it's best credit. Kinda like Rick & Morty, but at least Rick and Morty is a comedy, it isn't meant to be a serious drama.
The movie is made for torture only and is not to be used in any form of entertainment.
There was a way better death note live action adaptation that even got a sequel but I think it's only in japan
I love Ryuk so much
The Japanese film is a lot better than this crap.
Best scene in all of digital entertainment hands down, 2:57
"It can't be that whitewa–oh fuck"
This kind of feels like they tried to make a bad remake of the Death Note Drama, not the anime/manga. In the drama, Light did have a dead mom, strained relationship with his Dad, and didn't have a perfect life.
and this is why Hollywood would never be allowed to make movies on things that they don't understand
2:57 I will take a potato chip…
(Extremely serious breathing intensifies)
… AND EAT IT
Water is wet
Sky is blue
Live action Animes and movies based on video games suck
mia was the most entertaining person in this movie
