This unique Dell Desktop was not designed for Gaming, at least not originally what Dell thought; though in most cases with a good branded desktop computer you are most likely able to customize it for gaming.
The only thing I needed to do for Upgrading the Dell Inspiron 3847 Desktop Computer, was installing a graphics card like the EVGA GeForce 1050 Ti; and a power supply too which I decided to match with another EVGA product like the EVGA 600W Power Supply.
Customizing my Dell Inspiron 3847 Desktop to get it ready for Gaming made more sense for me, keeping what I had versus Custom building a new Gaming computer was more cost effective at the time; considering I had spent a lot to order the maximum hardware options.
When I got this unique dell desktop was originally for business, I knew that ordering the maximum of hardware was a must for me because I was also a pc gamer; even though dell has it’s own gaming computers now at the time they did not.
Hernandez #Gaming was created for Elite #Players, who want to Build a Customized #Gameplay Experience; designed for Online #Gamers who use Computers and Consoles.
The only hardware components I needed were a video graphics card as well as a power supply, everything else was perfect with this desktop case design; I specifically ordered it with the i7 processor and 16 gb of memory to say the least.
Installing the Geforce GTX 1050 Ti though was a lot easier than other video cards, as you will see on my video that it did not need to be connected to the power supply; electricity is transferred via the pci express connection.
This unique EVGA video card design offered the dual cooling fans, as well as integrated power through the board; and it was the perfect size to fit inside my computer case.
I have some unique ideas I plan to share in the future for subscribers, on what I plan to do on both my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop and the Dell Inspiron 3847 Desktop which is not for Gaming; one great example is coloring in the Inspiron lettering red to match the Dell Gaming branding, as we as silver dell logo with the same red; to have all match the original red.

Hello. I have this same PC, i5 processor with the same power supply, 16gb ram, and an Evo 500 ssd. My old video card went out (it's a GTX 650) so I'm unsure what my options are for this particular build. I'm on a budget and would like to keep my 2 monitor display. Does this card support 2 displays? (I didn't see the 2nd slot correct me if I'm wrong though) If not is there a list of compatible cards that will support 2 for this build? (My 2nd monitor isn't hd capable like my primary is so it's going to run at a lower resolution) however the GeForce control panel helps with keeping it looking similar to the primary
if you put new video card in can you still use other video card that is in computer so u can run more screens.
4:30 Wrong, brother 😉
Thank you for the vid. Copying! 😀
Has this held up well? Did it work long term? I just bought one of these at the thrift store and I’m considering this.
boss please tell me how to fix my wifi i cant connect to my internet and only 2g shows up
Would you suggest this build mostly looking at the GPU will it work fine with this motherboard? New to pc building btw

666th like. You forgot 4-pin CPU connector!
* Make sure to air-blow all dust thoroughly before doing anything! Then wipe/dry it after.
* Make sure PSU has enough power connectors for all devices, including GPU (if any – else why upgrade PSU?)!
* Make sure PSU is ATX 12V or ATX 12V/EPS 12V, recommended any 80+ certification and active PFC to save energy, 15-20+% higher 'maximum wattage' than needed!
* MAKE SURE PSU DIMENSIONS MATCH THE ORIGINAL'S! MANY DO NOT!
* When installing PSU, make sure fan is below for air intake (there is no space above for it); or vice-versa if it doesn't fit like so.
* Check videos to see if your CPU and GPU are a good match else bottlenecking!
* Replace thermal compound when replacing CPU (remove old one from both CPU and Cooler)! Recommend Arctic MX-4.
* IF UPGRADING CPU, MAKE SURE YOU GET A PROPER LGA1150 CPU COOLER WITH MEASUREMENTS NOT EXCEEDING CASE SIDE PANEL OR RAM, AND THAT SCREWS IN ON TOP (INSTEAD OF A BACKPLATE)!
* If upgrading RAM, make sure to use 2x 4GB or 2x 8GB of DDR3L-12800U/DDR3-12800U/DDR3-1600.
* Make sure to keep PC above ground else dust and heat destroy it!
* Recommended to do good cable management for better airflow and looks. Use cable straps/ties. And replace CMOS/BIOS Battery, then reconfigure BIOS properly (look it up).
kids want gaming pc :
mom i want a new pc give me 1k money
smart wants gaming pc :
bought feed for gpu, psu and gaming pc
Did you turn it on and does it work?
Get your pc off the carpet, please, and place it on a table. Static electricity can mess up your pc. I am just saying.
wtf im doing the exactly same
late comment but when i opened my computer (same model as yours) it looked like there was already a card in there i did not put, how do i take out?
how do games run on this setup? like per say rainbow six seige or insurgency sandstorm?
Can the cpu cooler be changed on this mate??
Do the SATA ports touch the GPU?
Me putting a 3060ti in and a 750w power supply. There might be a little bit of a bottleneck somewhere in my system and I’m leaning towards the gpu
shouldove added either more ram because that thing has like about 8gb of ram which for gaming, is not very much. but the 1050ti and that 500w psu does go well with the original system
Question. Whenever you booted your PC up did the GPU just install by itself or is there something specific you have to do
I would recommend a full modular power supply for people who want to upgrade the case eventually
Can you do a benchmark video?
What is the original power supply wattage
Does the ASUS GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti Cerberus Advanced 4GB fits into the dell inspiron 3847 case?
I currently have that desktop and decided to go for a i5-4690, but I also wanted to get a better cooler for the cpu. the cpu cooler you recommend is unavailable, any other coolers that will work for the desktop?
Excuse me I'm watching this because I'm trying to switch to pc on fortnite and I don't know if this will get me 2 at least 144 fps or good 1080 p quality. if you have any thoughts id like to know thnk u 🙂
Tell me why the intro jumpscared me
Hi.
Great video.
I have a doubt. Have you tried installing an Nvme?
I see that there is a network card and I thought it could be replaced by an Nvme.
Nice day.
i cant get my gpu to show in the dispay adapters and i am trying to see if the PCIE is disabled but in the BIOS there is no such setting, help?!
I have a dell Inspiron and it has an intel core i5 3330 bu I can really find the connector for the cpu does it already have a PS4 with a graphics card cable
I am going to get a new computer and got parts for one and I decided on this one but I needed to see how? So I found this video, thank you!!
yes i have a factory inspiron 3847 intel i3 4170 cpu @ 3.70GHz 8 gb ram 64 bit operating x64-based processor
what all will i need to max mine out on a budget
You didn't need to replace the power supply for a video card that only draws 75w.
Does this setup work for warzone?
I have a Dell Inspiron 3880 desktop computer and I'm not sure what is the best power supply to replace the 265 watt one that's built-in
what psu did it come with
I have a question: isn't there a problem with this build because the Graphics card that has a pci slot of 3.0 x16 doesn't fit in the motherboard (which has a pci slot of 2.0 x16)?
This is SOO helpful thxxxxx
good video but dont work on a carpet they giva alot of static and could short some of your parts
Can this card be fin in dell inspiron 660 tower as well ???
