NZXT’s latest Kraken changed my mind about AIO coolers… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XR8bqkiXpeE&list=PLdX4D1R87mshnInU2OP_UszzIerV3TeIl
whoa, so i need to remove the motherboard too attach the backplate….
I just installed my hyper 212 RGB black and love it. temps are great!
The only reason I'm considering one of these or their variants is because I don't trust the stock Intel coolers with their push pin heatsinks. Those things are SHITE.
Does this fitting plate also adjust to intel
I love mine, I have only had it a week but I have my i5-6600k overclocked at 4.6ghz and the max temp only got to 52 degrees celsius
Using the LED on a 160w TDP CPU without problems 🙂 Great cooler, great price.
Will the Hyper 212 LED be fine with a core i3-10100? Anyone have used this similar setup?
Just bought one for 2$
I use it with lga 2011 and its not bad. Core temperatures with i7 4820k(1620v2) were about 19 degrees. In games it was about 43 degrees. But now its a way hotter. 38 degrees and 53 in games. I dont know why it became that hot. Maybe i should change thermal paste??
Used this on my i5 4690k and now using on my i5 10600k. Idle temps around 30 and load temps low 60’s. Best $30 you can spend on your pc.
Oughta changed the fans or done push-pull. Otherwise excellent video.
I have the EVO and I gotta say it's way too loud. It's unnecessarily loud. But I'm looking at what you mentioned that the Assassin III was the best one you've reviewed but it doesn't look like it's that much quieter? Right now I have a game open and according to the Dragon Center app that came with my motherboard, the CPU core temperature is above 70 degrees and my EVO is running at over 2000 RPM. Would the Assassin III be more efficient at keeping the CPU cool and do it quieter? Perhaps not as high as 2000 RPM?
I have a 212 Led but I lost the standoff nuts and backplate. If I bought the nuts and backplate for a 212 evo, could I use them to install my 212 led?
Installation is not that big of a deal on the Hyper 212 LED… I mean I have used Noctua's stuff too and its better for sure but, ya not THAT bad bruh.
Thanks for this review. It was between the Fuma 2 and Liquid Freezer II to replace my Hyper 212. My Fuma 2 is coming today.
The 212 evo mounting mechanism is less tedious now. They still use a different backplate, but there's less of a process.
Older coolers should be better than what is built today since those needed to do real cooling on 40nm processes.
Why would you need the latest cooler when the requirements of latest coolers in so much lower than int he past.
can I know how reliable was the chart attach in the video? The Noctua NH-U12A get 36.5 above the ambient temperature while idle?
I use a hyper 212 evo on my Ryzen 5 2600 and A320-pro motherboard that only allows automatic overclocking based upon thermal headroom and voltage stability. While playing Fortnight on the Party Royal I reached 4.8 Ghz on all cores where stock is 3.9. I didn't have the AMD cpu driver installed and the event occurred when I did a barrel roll into a bunch of people sending everything 100 feet in the air. The framerate was locked at 120fps and the instant increase in draw distance required the CPU to rev up and deliver the the physics plus render the unbridled horizon. It was extremely smooth and made me wonder how I was getting extra performance.
Installation was difficult because I had to bend the mounting bracket with needle nose pliers in order to apply enough pressure on the CPU. I got the cooler for 10 dollars off eBay.
if it aint broke dont fix it
does anyone here installed this on a b450m pro m2 max mobo? what is the orientation of the fan of this cooler master turbo? was the fan facing left and right? coz ive seen downward and upward facing fan, im hesitant to buy this product coz i dont like it facing down and up on my mobo m2 pro max
I just bought this heat sink because of the performance for a small price.
intel 10ma gen in 1151 fit !!
Can i use the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO on a 10700K processor?
I think they redesigned the backplate already.
Put pins on backplate, push plastic clips to lines marked with corresponding socket types, secure spacers on other side, screw the cooler into the spacers.
I got two 212 LED this year, one for Intel and another for AMD, both are easy as * to install.
Still running a hyper 212 LED for my ryzen 5 1600 and that thing is quiet and effective. Most of the noise from my PC comes from the GPU.
Noctua NH-U12A idle temperatures are 100% wrong, sounds like it was carelessly tested. That's probably not the only one that was wrong.
So glad I found your channel. No bait here, presentation is unbiased and fair, and you don’t film and record audio with a potato. Sold!!!
What an asshole. He compares evo with liquid coolers and high end air coolers.
I bought one used. Suits my 4690k well enough.
Installation was a pain though.
I have a hyper 212 turbo keeping my Ryzen 5 2600 cool. I chose the turbo because my room gets hot since I only turn on the AC at night to save cost.
I've had the 212 evo for 7 years now and its good because its cheap and better than a stock. Lets be real, you never have to replace a CPU cool unless for some dumb reason it won't fit or connect to a new motherboard so its a pretty god buy in my book
I replaced the CM fan after the bearing started grinding. Have a Noctua fan on the EVO now. Quiet and well performing.
I built a computer a few months ago and ended up picking up a hyper 212 evo for just $18 on amazon, I've never seen my 9700K go past 75 degrees so I can't really complain for the price I got it.
Nightmare to install.. but I can't argue the 212 evo is a very good cooler on my ryzen!
why is using a backplate a "bad" thing
and why is it a bad system I dont get it
very much worth it i bought a variant the 212 led turbo which is on my ryzen 3600 . idle temps down from 45-50°C to 35°C
I come from a ryzen 5 3600 stock cooler, now I have the 212 led turbo… Oh boy the difference is huge
Very noise
Is this fan meant to be intake or exhaust?
If it's installed vertically, is it facing the front or back of the case?
Might be a dumb question, but I'm just trying to picture it on my pc
does it support the new lga 1200?
Helpful comparison, thank you!
I Am using 212 Evo From Almost 3 years now, first it was on my i7 4770, then on i5 [email protected] 4.6ghz, and now on i7 [email protected] turbo while temp stay in between 65 to 71c in most of my games. For gaming only its more then enough I think.
